Life...interrupted
It's been awhile since I posted, primarily because of all of the events that I didn't plan on this year--
I didn't plan on designing flowers for a wedding.
I didn't plan an enjoyable 5 weeks visit with my long-distant family (either in the spring or the summer)
I didn't plan on learning the guitar
I didn't plan on "adopting" a new set of siblings
I didn't plan on planning a 40th Birthday party
I didn't plan on memorizing the first five chapters of Proverbs
I didn't plan on a rush trip to the ACFW Writer's Conference
I didn't plan on being part of the support crew while my brothers excavated a basement
I didn't plan on getting my Builder's license
Unfortunately, the stuff I didn't have scheduled has left me pretty much exhausted, I can barely remember what I had on my list of things to do for the year. It reminds me of James 1:13-15:
"Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.' Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. Instead, you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.'
